Bus and Coach wrap 2024

Published September 25, 2024 in Blog

On September 17th and 18th, 2024, the Trapeze team headed to the Bus and Coach Show at the Brisbane Convention Centre. With the venue just a hop, skip, and jump away from our head office on Edward Street, it was the perfect chance to send a large crew to soak up all things buses!

Over the two days, our team had the pleasure of mingling with a fantastic mix of customers, bus operators, government officials, and industry leaders. We had conversations with attendees from across Australia, New Zealand, and as far away as Fiji, the Philippines, and China. It’s always exciting to see how global the bus and coach community truly is!

The buzz about “net zero”

The hot topic was “net zero,” with a special focus on technology supporting decarbonized fleets. Bus manufacturers and tech innovators were out in full force, displaying an array of solutions aimed at making fleets greener and cleaner.

Several new bus models were released at the show with Battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell buses taking center stage.

Two on display that really caught our eye were the Volgren – Wright HFC and the Hess – LightTram 25. Both of these beauties boasted aluminium bodies and, even better, both were zero-emission. It was hard not to be impressed—these buses are the future of sustainable transport, and they looked sleek while doing it! The advancements across the board are impressive and we enjoyed the opportunity to be part of this conversation with delegates.

Out in force

Throughout the event, the Trapeze team was out in full force, covering every corner of the show. We had customer support representatives there representing operations, payroll, product management, software development, and security—all ready to engage in deep conversations about how we continue to evolve and enhance our offerings.

We were particularly excited to talk shop about TIMS and Austrics solutions with our customers. These discussions are always valued and help us refine our product roadmaps to continue to support smarter, more efficient bus operations. It was also great to update the industry on our ITS and Community Transport solutions.

Looking forward to the next journey

All in all, the Bus and Coach Show 2024 was a resounding success! It was a joy reconnecting with industry peers, exchanging ideas, and, of course, geeking out over cutting-edge buses and technology. The event left us more inspired than ever to continue our work toward a sustainable, tech-driven future in public transport.
